Jon Fitch is having no luck these days.  After already losing a UFC 106 fight with “Big Dog” Ricardo Almeida to a knee injury, Fitch’s brief excitement to learn that he would get another showdown with Thiago Alves at UFC 107 has again been dashed with another knee injury.

In other UFC news, Josh Neer has been released from his contract with the UFC following his UFC 104 loss to Gleison Tibau.  Tough news for Neer fans as Josh brings a fight with him every time.   Here’s hoping he can pick up a couple wins and get another shot with a big promotion because he’s always a game 155′er.

Here’s a great interview with WEC featherweight Jose Aldo about his upcoming shot at the FW belt against Mike  Thomas Brown at WEC 44.  Zero chance this fight disappoints.

WEC has just announced that Rani Yahya will faced Urijah Faber protege Joseph Benavidez at WEC 45.  Judging by the rest of the card already put together, WEC 45 will be one of their most solid shows in recent memory.  And that’s saying something for an organization that has made a living dropping great card after great card.
